New Look and Functionality of uNoGS.com
-
Welcome to the new face of uNoGS.com, initially it doesn't look like much has changed but we have rebuilt the site from the ground up to add additional ease and functionality.
As always we want to make the site as easy to use as possible, so we have removed some rarely used features and integrated that functionality into the existing search.
So what's changed?
Country Details
First of all you will see that we no longer have a 'Country Details' section, this information is still available but it has been moved to the 'Advanced Search' modal. All these functions and more have been rolled into the Advanced Search.
Now if you want to find out what is new in the particular country, you can just select 'new last 24 hours' in on the 'Select Filter' drop down (Alternatively you can just type 'new last x y' where x is a number and y is a timeframe like hour, day, month). Then just select any country and the results will be specific to that country (or any group of selected countries).
click for example
If you want to see whats new globally, you can still do this by just selecting all countries. If you want to find out what is expiring in a country, you can just select 'expiring' in the 'Select Filter' drop down.
click for exampleCountry Or And Unique
This is an exciting new feature which lets you pull lots of details on groups of countries and the relationship between the titles in each.On the advanced search you see a little gear that change when clicked between 'or', 'and' and 'unique'.
- Selecting 'or' will just provide you with all titles in any of the chosen countries, this is the default behaviour and similar to what you would see on the previous uNoGS.
- Selecting 'and' will provide you with a list of all titles which are in all of the selected countries. This is especially helpful if you have friends in different countries and want to choose the same title to watch.
- Selecting 'unique' will provide you with a list of all titles which are unique to the selected countries. This is a great way to find out what is unique to your country or what is special about a group of countries.
Infinite Scroll
The main title list will now automatically load all titles without having to page through the results. In order to keep you from losing your place the title information now appears in a modal so it doesn't require a completely separate page load.New API
The website now uses a variant of the uNoGSNG API which is open to everyone so feel free to have a look and use it if you need an API for Netflix data (This also means you don't need to try and scrape our site!).
Have a look around and let us know what you think in the comments!

A note to everyone:
The site was changed because the previous code was a complete mess after being hacked on for more than 4 years.
For things like the path changes and query_strings, these are indicative of the new API we are using along with some of the software we are using to produce the site. I realise change is difficult and we probably could have been a little more gradual with the changes but sometimes its better to just rip the band-aid off. That being said, we will endeavour to address any concerns you might have. Thanks for being patient,

If there's anything I'd say is missing in this brilliant site, I'd say it's being able to create an account and add the movies you want to watch to a list so you can keep track of you need to watch. It would be much easier that way, and it would definitely increase the traffic on the site. I hope you look into that and apply it soon.

Thanks for the suggestion, this is something that we have been looking into and hopefully will be included in the next version.

Can expiring videos be displayed in order of date of leaving? It used to do so on but I can't find the settings in advance to display it as such.
-
its a good point.. we will look into making that default for the expiring filter
-
expiring used to show the date of expiration, now it shows when added :(
-
Under Advanced Search, for region specific filter the New Releases selection only has 24h, no 5day & 10day lie the main menu has
-
It would be nice if the desired region/country could be set the default for user in all searches like it was used to be possible
-
@kala use
new last x y
where x is a number and is hour, day , etc -
@kala it does stick via a cookie
-
ok cool
another thing i noticed is that all the unused filters are added to the result URL in addition to the filter selected (makes a long long urls ;P) -
Hmm it looks to me the cookie region is not read when the top menu Whats New? is selected, those results seem to be global ?

NordVPN doesn’t seem to be one of the provider options anymore. Why is that?

When we are searching for new content, it seems that the date displayed is the date of the country where it was added for the first time.
I searched for example the things added the last month in UK and it shows 2018 for some of them and it feels a a bit unintuitive because we don't see the date it was added. For the expiring content, we can't see the dates of when the content is expiring only the date when it was added and it seems that they are not classified in chronoligcal order as before.
And finally when clicking on a movie or a show, seeing all the countries with all the data about them when we want to know the info for only one or two seems to be going the extra mile for something we don't want to know about. The info should follow the filter we are using maybe.
Otherwise, love the infinite scroll, it so much better this way than having a lot of pages and love the fact that we can search easily the content now with custom filters date and etc ^^

@admin I really dislike the new website. I am blind and use audio description when watching Netflix shows. On the old website, it was much easier for me to see what was new with audio description, but now I can't use the advanced search feature because the custom controls don't work with my screen reader. I have tried using the website on several browsers with several different screen readers but to no avail. Please fix this so that blind Netflix customers can also use this website.

I'll echo the above mentions that the date of expiry is key to be added to the displayed information, either in addition to or instead of the date added, when searching for items expiring soon.
Of lesser importance, runtimes are displayed to me in seconds - which is not super intuitive! Would be nice to have those back in hours and minutes, unless I'm missing a setting somewhere?
Thanks for all the work going in behind the scenes.

I don't like this ...terrible on android.

NordVPN needs to be put on
