Movie restricted with VPN?

I heard about a movie called "Whiplash", I saw the trailer and got intrigued, so I went straight to uNoGS to see if it was available in any country on Netflix.
It showed it was available in Italy with ExpressVPN, so I turned on ExpressVPN, set it to Italy, and opened Netflix. I searched for the movie but it was simply not there.
After a bit of googling I found a post stating that Netflix hides movies from VPN users if it notices you're using a VPN, and in order to circumvent this issue you need to click the "Watch Now" button on uNoGS.
I clicked on the button, it opened the Netflix tab and it opened the Movie inside of Netflix, but instead of a play button there was a "Remind me" button, that would remind me when the movie would be available in my region, even though my VPN was set to the region the movie was supposedly available in.

Is uNoGS simply mistaken that the movie is available in Italy, or is Netflix restricting VPN users even more?

I had this issue when using ExpressVPN, then I switched to Surfshark and I am now able to watch the titles that I want to.

I'm having the problem with "Red Sparrow" anyone can try if it's avaiable in Germany with ExpressVPN ? It says no for me , but on this website yes
