There are interlocutors who listen not to understand, but in order to answer - it is almost always noticeable and almost always inefficient
A few years ago I passed the MBA course. The topic of one of the classes has become communication in business. Tutor offered us, students, experiment, rather simple and, at first glance, frivolous. She divided us into two groups. The first group remaining in the audience, it reads a short text with several numbers. Then the person from the second group, remaining behind the walls of the room, entered and listened to our retelling of the text. He came out and transferred information to one of the members of the second group, the next one, and so on. Something like a children's game in a spoiled phone. After a few minutes, we gathered in the audience, and the person who turned out to be the last link chain, voiced the information that reached him.
