<![CDATA[Netflix is hiding results from VPN users!]]>What is the "Netflix hiding results" issue?

Over the last month or so Netflix have started hiding search results from people logging in over VPN's or via known cloud servers.

You can see this at work when you search uNoGS for a title like "Toy Story". It shows as being in South Korea however, If you VPN into South Korea (Express VPN), login into Netflix and then search for this title, it will not show up.

uNoGS sucks because it has bad information, right?

WRONG!

If you click 'Watch Now' on the uNoGS title page, you will see the title is there with a Play button.

So, before getting upset with us, please try clicking 'Watch Now'...
If its not there, feel free to send us nasty emails!
If you can't play the title with your VPN, please contact your VPN provider.

How Is uNoGS overcoming these limitations?
In order to combat this, we are allowing qualifying users to run a small piece of python code on their local machines which will update uNoGS with any missing titles. We have already tried this with the Czech Republic and Canada with fantastic success (over 130 titles between them).

  • are familiar with github
  • live in one of the countries we support.

I tried to watch legends of tomorrow and other titles by connecting to the various countries listed on on your site with the vpn and clicking on watch now. It doesn't work at the moment.
I tried different countries:
Czeck republic, netherland, Slovakia, Israel, Greece.
Any sugestions?
Btw, the same is true with big bang theory, unless I connect with windscribe on UK windflix (optimized for netflix).

I too use Surfshark for my streaming needs. But also happen to have one more Korea VPN as a backup in case things get messy at the eleventh hour. The providers works in South Korea only.

They usually show up as leaving about 7 days in advance, but with only 5 days to the end of the month where oftentimes many titles retire, so far for the past week, none has shown up.

Let's take Warner Bros. as an example. They have this blockbuster film that Hulu bought the streaming rights to in US, but Netflix has it in Switzerland because there's no Hulu there. Now if you were Hulu and notice that you are losing a lot of potential customers because this film that's meant to draw people in, they are watching on Switzerland Netflix using VPN instead. You'd complain to Warner Bros. about it won't you? What's the point in paying millions for the rights to a film when people can just easily watch it on their rival service? In turn, Warner Bros. will have to give pressure to Netflix to keep stuff like this under control, and Netflix needs to keep on their good side in fear of Warner Bros. pulling their entire catalogue from their service. In that scenario, we as Netflix customers would come out poorer as well. It's not like Netflix wants to war with their own customers, but they only own the streaming rights for certain shows in certain markets so they need to respect that as well.

It’s not just hiding the result but it’s also preventing you to watch movies which are unavailable in your original country. Most of the countries I’ve tried with express vpn doesn’t work, but Korea and Italy seems to be working fine.

All becoz of sharing with my friends. I have Nord VPN free details. I don't spend a Penny for VPN. This forum let me find almost all movies. Except few which are in Prime Video, Hulu, etc. I have Prime Video also 6.68 $ a year (own plan).

Nord is very in and out with its accessibility to regions that aren’t Canada and The U.K. (sometimes it lets me access other regions without the proxy error and most of the time it doesn’t). For example, I wanted to binge the Harry Potter series but the only country that has all of the movies is Spain. When I connect to a Spain server via Nord, it almost always gives me a proxy error and Harry Potter doesn’t even show up on Express’s Spain server because Netflix hides every title except for their originals. It’s so frustrating and I’m afraid that VPNs are losing their touch when it comes to bypassing Netflix.
